That's why we are excited to introduce our new account deletion feature, which allows participants to remove their account and all collected data directly via our app. This feature further ensures that our apps will remain compliant with GDPR, and also with Apple's latest policy announcement regarding account deletion within iOS apps.
We believe that offering an account deletion option enhances the trust and transparency between researchers and participants, and empowers participants to have greater control over their data and their study participation. Moreover, it aligns with our values and mission to provide our users with the best possible experience. We know that participants want to have control over their data, and we believe that providing this feature will be beneficial for all parties involved.
At the same time, we understand the collected data form an important part of the research study, and their removal can negatively impact the study's progress. We ensured that in design of this feature, we give the research team ample time to reach out to participants and address their concerns which led to their decision to remove their data, and potentially revoke their decision.
